WE Productions Sdn Bhd is a renowned production company specializing in the art of crafting immersive sets for film and media productions. Formerly known as Wong Enterprise, or simply WE, our journey began in 1988 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With a legacy spanning over three decades, WE have passionately designed and brought to life custom scenic sets and props for productions not only in Malaysia but across the vibrant landscape of Southeast Asia.

Founded by the visionary Michael Wong Fock Kam, a stalwart in the Southeast Asian film and media industry, WE Productions bears the imprint of his expertise. Michael’s journey started in the 1970s, where he initially contributed to his family’s furniture manufacturing business, honing his carpentry skills. In 1978, he crossed paths with his late mentor and eventual father-in-law, Cheong Seng, a trailblazer in set building in Kuala Lumpur. Under Cheong Seng’s guidance, Michael deepened his understanding and mastery of set building. In 1988, the inception of Wong Enterprise marked the beginning of Michael’s entrepreneurial venture.

While WE initially handled TV commercials in its early years, the evolution was inevitable. Michael gradually embraced more ambitious set construction projects for films, collaborating with productions from Hong Kong, Japan, Hollywood, and Bollywood. Today, Michael Wong as a trusted provider of top-notch art direction and creative set design solutions.

The increasing demand for our services led to our expansion in 2014, reaching new horizons in Johor, Batam (Indonesia), and Singapore. In 2016, MW Sets Pte Ltd emerged as a strategic entity to efficiently manage our projects in the region, propelling our company to greater heights.
